Hotel Essentials

Online hotel bookings are the most famous and easiest way to find an accommodation all over the world. It is also one of the reasons why we should be thankful to the wonders of the World Wide Web. But when it comes to booking a hotel, there are some essentials that we need to follow. Book in advance, if you can make it as early as one month for regular season, and then do so. In case of special days and holidays, it’s better to reserve three months in advance or more. If you are traveling in group and you want to save, try sharing. If you can avail of the room with a view, always take the chance. Once in the hotel, observe proper decorum. Don’t be too noisy and do an effort to minimize water usage. Toiletries can sometimes be tempting so refrain yourself from getting some souvenirs.

Friendly Travel Tips

Traveling as far as I know is the best way to relieve stress. If you’re getting burned out because of too much hassle in the office then get hold of the steering wheel and hit the road. Go out of town and get some fresh air. Then if you can afford to have a vacation, go abroad. I suggest Asia if your budget is tight and Europe if you want to splurge. One of the most essential travel tips in packing your baggage is to pack light but right. Pack your stuff two weeks ahead of time and if you think you need to add more, then do so. Always carry a bigger hand bag that contains all the essential things that you need for the flight. You may also try to have some candies especially in long hour flight to save you from expensive airport food and the bland food served in the plane.

Spicy Food to Combat Virus

One of the best things about travelling is having some food experience in different places. Have you tried eating raw octopus? Come to South Korea where you can find this as a local delicacy. It was also in the same place where I had my first taste of kimchi. A Korean dish made of vegetables, such as cabbage or radishes that are salted, seasoned, and stored in sealed containers to undergo lactic acid fermentation. The smell was really terrible, and it tastes weird to me maybe because I find it too spicy and yeah, I can’t stand the smell. But then Koreans cannot live without it and to be fair to them, the food is really nutritious. This actually saved them from the deadly SARS virus and keeping them from getting the H1N1 virus as well. Experts say spicy food can actually strengthen our immune system causing us less to get ill.

Outdoor Boot camp

One of the outdoor activities getting famous nowadays is outdoor boot camp. If you would go back to the definition of the word in Wikipedia it refers colloquially to military recruit training, the initial indoctrination and instruction given to new military personnel. But now, boot camp is becoming a battle ground for losing calories and gaining strength and cardio benefits. The facilities may appear tough, but for the sake of fitness and health people are starting to buy the idea of doing this hard training as a new form of exercise. This fall season, the weather is nice and suitable going outbound. Boot camps can be found all over America especially in Boston area. But if you think this activity is too tough for women, you might as well try other activities like the traditional jogging, walking in the park or simple stretching exercises at home. What’s important is you do exercise.

Hiking 101

Hobbies are created to kill time but make sure to engage in hobbies that are not expensive, worthwhile and of course your interest. In my case, I really enjoy travelling and nature. It’s one of the reasons I go hiking once in a while. The mountain and trees are so serene that it has a soothing effect on me. Here are some dos and don’ts in hiking. First, always check the weather and weather news if it’s advisable to go hiking. Hike in group, invite your friends. Pack light snacks like chocolate or biscuits, water, map or GPS device and your cell phone in full charged. Don’t mess up with the nature, no picking of flowers even twigs of trees. Stick to the dirt trail as much as possible. Don’t leave any litter and if you can pick up some trash then do so .Lastly, carry some seedlings and plant them on the way for the love of the environment.

Travel to Europe by Train

Traveling the Channel by train is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I’m glad my sister invited me to spend some days in their place. The experience is like in Mr. Bean’s Holiday. Call me a kiddo, but I just adore him. In the film, Mr. Bean won an all expense paid trip to France with a brand new digital video camera to capture wonderful and wacky moments of his journey. Like me, he also used the famous train ride for his trip going to France from London. Most people travel by train instead of airlines when going to Paris from London because the train is faster than the plane. In the airplane, the view is limited while in the train you can indulge yourself in sightseeing. The services they offer on board are much better. They serve better food and they even have bar buffet car. So to have the best European travel, ride a train.

Useful Travelling Tips

Europe is one of the most sought travel destinations in the world. But before you go and splurge in an extravagant vacation, make sure that all things are planned and settled. Planning should be months ahead. The ideal time for booking airline tickets would be three months or more. Try to avail promotions and use your card mileage whenever you have one. Next would be hotel reservations and means of your transportation. Take time to choose if you’re going to use the train, car or any other means. Are you going to avail a rail pass or point to point ticket? Then you have to organize your stuff even a month ahead. Prepare your luggage and pack light but right. Get your camera for great photo moments. Then budget your money and allowance to be used in your travel. You must also pack medicine especially if you’re under medication. Lastly, a few days before your flight, call and verify your flight and also your credit card company.

Here Comes Summer

People of all ages love summer. It’s the time wherein they can go out and have fun under the bright sunshine. It’s the perfect time to go to the beach, have picnic, enjoy long hour drive and most of all go on a summer vacation. But then I know some people who really enjoy summer the most, students. And why not, compared to a weeklong vacation leave filed in the office, they have two months or more for this season. No difficult exams, boring laboratories and no strict teachers, which is just great! When I was a student, I always take the opportunity to find a part time job and earn and run some errands to help me at least buy some of my school needs. If my mom won’t buy me new bag or shoes, I can use the money that I saved. But then of course, I don’t forget to have fun with my family and friends.
